100/6 JUST RESTORED

This rare early 1957 Longbridge built car has just completed a meticulous nut and bolt restoration. The chassis and body were stripped to the bare shell which was then stripped to bare metal and treated for rust prevention. A new off-side floor and front outrigger, o/s and n/s inner and outer sills and boot floor have been welded in. New aluminium front and rear wings and doors, along with a new front shroud nose section, have been fitted. The car has been finished in the original cellulose Old English White. The engine, gearbox and overdrive have been completely stripped and rebuilt. Throughout the restoration some parts have been renovated, but many parts have been replaced with new, including...bumpers,over-riders, grille surround, wing flashes, door handles, boot hinges, fuel pump, fuel pipes, rear springs, interior trim, carpets, leather seats, boot trim, side screens and hood. The braking system has been upgraded to 3000 specification with front disc brakes, new servo, dual master cylinder, brake cylinders, brake light switch and brake pipes. A new clutch and clutch slave cylinder have also been fitted. The car was originally built for the Netherlands but has now been converted to right hand drive with a new steering box, idler box and dashboard. The car is now UK registered and has a Heritage Certificate confirming matching numbers. Because of its age the car is Road Tax and MOT exempt, although it does have a current MOT for peace of mind and safety reasons. A full photographic history of the restoration
